Can I find housing before I arrive?
Yes. You can browse listings, message people, and arrange video tours from anywhere in the world. Many people use HomiesAbroad to secure a room weeks before they land.
Is it free?
Yes. Browsing, posting a room, and posting that you're looking are all free. There is no fee at any point and no commission on a rental.
Do you check the listings?
We run automated checks on photos and we remove what gets reported, but we never describe a listing or a person as verified, vetted, or screened. Read the safety note on every post, and video-tour a place before you pay anything.
Where do the curated posts come from?
We read public Facebook housing groups and present each post as a short, neutral summary with a direct link to the original. We never republish poster names, phone numbers, or screenshots. Sign in to see the source links.
Will the other person get my phone number?
No. Chats happen in the app, attached to the listing they started from. What you choose to share in the chat is up to you.
